Welcome to our beloved town Licab, the Home of Kariton Festival.
 
I convey my esteemed greetings and congratulations to the administrators of Licab.net for making this site possible. This modern means of communication is crucial in connecting Licabeños to the world and vice versa.
 
Seven years ago, I took the initiative of discovering the real history of our town, for us and this generation to have a glimpse of the past, that we are lucky not to endure the horrors of those bleak moments of our town’s history. Today those moments are eternalized and glorified as we gaze the monument of our Founding Father, Don Dalmacio Esguerra on our newly constructed Liwasang Dalmacio (Dalmacio Park).
 
Once a sixth class municipality and totally dependent on Internal Revenue Allotment, Licab  is showing unyielding  cause in working for a change  since we have chosen hope over fear, development over status quo and  resiliency over reluctance. Now, we are a fourth class municipality and God willing at the end of this year, we will be a third class municipality.
 
 Patuloy tayong magkaisa at manalangin para sa ating bayan sapagkat walang ibang magmamahal at magmamalasakit dito kundi tayo ring mga tiga Licab. Tayong lahat ay maging matatag at nagkakaisa tungo sa isang maunlad na bayan at para sa kinabukasan ng ating mga anak.
 
On March 28 2010, we are inviting all our kababayan abroad to a GRAND HOMECOMING. Please come home and visit us.  Experience the joy of Licabeño hospitality. You will see and feel the difference now. You will be a long-lost brother or sister and will be treated to a real celebration of our town’s 116th FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY. Some of the highlights of the celebration will be Kariton Festival, Gabi ng mga Licabeño, the Search for Mutya ng Licab 2010, Trade Fair and Medical and Dental Mission.
